  • This exciting opportunity is for a skilled professional to lead our team in developing and implementing sales strategies that drive growth in group meetings and events.
About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Director with a proven track record of success in driving sales growth through strategic planning, leadership, and collaboration. The successful candidate will be responsible for elevating GM&E performance across our hotels with a focus on process, team setup, and best practice adoption.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Support the Regional Director of Sales Operations with the GM&E teams' adoption of enterprise solutions & tools to achieve sales targets.
  2. Develop GM&E training plans and ensure that relevant team members grow and develop in their functional knowledge according to the plan, understanding customer needs and reinforcing Hilton's ways of working.
  3. Summarize and manage the hotel GM&E sales process, conducting regular sales evaluations to ensure each salesperson achieves the desired results.
  4. Monitor the output value of sales and adjust sales training actions according to market changes.
  5. Organize travel schedules and manage travel expenses to optimize sales force.
  6. Build relationships with key GM&E solution partners and Hilton regional sales offices in partnership with the Regional Director of Sales Operations.
  7. Make every employee in the GM&E Sales department aware of key GM&E initiatives launched Globally, Regionally, and locally.
  8. Work with Singapore Commercial Directors to achieve maximum productivity within the hotel and to improve groups' conversions.
  9. Monitor market trends and communicate plans to optimise group demand and group rates.
  10. Update city-wide events for current and future so as to share information to all stakeholders.
  11. Ensure that the Sales team effectively complete quotations, send contracts to customers and follow-up promptly, inviting customers to visit the hotel.
  12. Ensure that the department sends the teamwork order in a timely manner and the banquet work order is received by the relevant departments.
  13. Proactively collect market and industry information to share with other members of the Sales team, capturing business opportunities and ultimately converting to business confirmations.
  14. Provide regular training to employees to ensure that the team is familiar with hotel products and processes, able to efficiently explore customer needs and provide professional customized services.
  15. Regularly analyze customer output and source market structure, anticipate market trends and design products and channels in advance to seize business opportunities.
  16. Organize and host weekly Operational Excellence meetings, as well as large-scale event communication meetings with all GM&E leaders and regular CE GM&E Leader Connect calls.
  17. Always ensure warm and considerate service as part of the hospitality industry.
Key Qualifications:
  • Experience with using dashboards for performance tracking.
  • Good knowledge and use of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft CoPilot, Power BI, is necessary to excel in this role.
  • Ability to analyse performance gaps and articulate improvement plans.
  • Interpersonal skills and stakeholder management is necessary for success in this role.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in MICE sales, Catering and Event sales or Event Servicing.
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Event Management, Marketing, Communications, Business) with proven track record in leading teams to achieve sales performance.

  • The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with relevant software and tools in managing events and sales data tracking.
  • Focussed and Results-oriented to drive success.
