Job Title: Quantity Surveyor, Tuas Water Reclamation Project

The role of a Quantity Surveyor is crucial in the delivery of projects like the Water Treatment Plant Project at Tuas. This position involves administering contracts and ensuring that all aspects of project management are carried out effectively.

This includes evaluating contract administration and measurement techniques to administer progress claims. Routine tasks involve performing quantity surveying, assessment, processing, and certification of progress claims, as well as general contract administration.

  • Evaluating contract administration and measurement techniques for progress claims
  • Performing routine aspects of quantity surveying, including assessing, processing, and certifying progress claims, and general contract administration
  • Assisting in preparing cash flows, contingency analysis, and variation claim assessments
  • Reviewing extra payment and/or extension of time claims by Contractors and making recommendations
  • Preparing cost estimates for variation claims, obtaining quotations, preparing change notices, and Statements of Instructions (SOIs)
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A minimum Polytechnic Diploma in Quantity Surveying with 5-6 years of relevant experience
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills

This role requires knowledge of Building Information Modelling (BIM) as an added advantage.

Negotiation skills are essential for effective contract administration.

Candidates should have experience in water treatment projects.

Construction management and administration expertise are required.

AutoCAD and Civil Engineering knowledge are necessary for this role.

Tendering and Pricing skills are also necessary for the position.

This role involves Cost Control and Sourcing.
