Job Opportunity

About the Role

  • We are seeking a dedicated professional to manage Water & Wastewater treatment plant operations, ensuring reliability and availability while complying with regulations.

Purpose & Scope:

  • To oversee Water & Wastewater treatment plant operations, meeting performance targets and regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to ensure effective management of off-spec influent.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Water & Wastewater treatment plant by monitoring process parameters and working with maintenance teams.
  • Optimize plant operations for efficient water treatment.
  • Ensure timely reporting to stakeholders and review of shift reports.
  • Monitor plant performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, and HSSE teams to ensure compliance and safety standards.
  • Support plant operations troubleshooting and commissioning as required.
  • Develop and implement Agreed Operating Procedures (AOP) for customers.
  • Participate in the Company Emergency Response Team (CERT) training.

Major Challenges:

  • No off-spec discharge to the watercourse.
  • Maintain smooth plant operation and troubleshoot biological processes.
  • Troubleshoot MF, RO, and Mixed-Bed processes.
  • Achieve Plant Reliability and Availability targets.
  • Comply with SOPs and work closely with Operation Managers.
  • Maintain HSSE regulatory compliance performance.
  • Adjust plant process parameters after consultation with Operation Managers.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Chemical engineering or Environmental engineering (preferred).
  • Minimum 2 years operation experience in Water/Wastewater treatment plants.

Skill Requirements:

  • Organized and detail-oriented individual.
  • Strong team player with excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proactive in keeping up with new technologies and optimizing plant operations.
  • Independent with initiatives, resourceful, and positive attitude.
  • Good leadership skills and willingness to travel within Singapore.
