Water Treatment Professional

The position of Water Treatment Professional is a critical role within our organization. As a Water Treatment Professional, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of water treatment systems.

  • Maintaining a safe working environment is paramount in this role. You will ensure that all safety protocols are followed and that any potential hazards are identified and mitigated.

  • As a Water Treatment Professional, you will also be responsible for monitoring and maintaining the water treatment equipment, including pumps, valves, and other machinery.

  • Additionally, you will be required to collect and analyze water samples to ensure that they meet regulatory standards.

  • You will also be responsible for completing maintenance records and maintaining laboratory and operating logbooks and databases as required.

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required for this position, as well as relevant experience in water treatment or a related field.

  • Colorado Class "D" Certification (or other states' equivalent) or relevant experience is preferred.

  • Other qualifications include mechanical aptitude, thorough knowledge of water treatment principles and practices, ability to work efficiently in a stressful environment, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

  • Preferred qualifications include Colorado Class "B" Certification (or other states' equivalent), one year of experience as a Water Treatment Plant operator, experience working in an Activated Sludge Wastewater Treatment Plant, and previous experience with remote Polar Logistics operations.

  • This position requires willingness and ability to deploy to Antarctica for extended periods, successful completion of Medical and Dental examinations required by the NSF for deployment to Antarctica, successful completion of drug screening and background check required by employer, and successful completion of Federal Background Check required by the NSF.

  • Additional requirements include valid Driver's License issued in the United States and ability to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.
