Department Overview
The Group Technology and Operations (GTO) division is responsible for software and system development, IT support services, and banking operations. By centralizing and standardizing technology components in Singapore, GTO provides a robust and flexible banking infrastructure that supports our regional subsidiaries and global branches.
Role Overview
This position reports directly to the Head or delegate of Securities Operations and Structured Notes within the Global Markets Operations Centre, playing a vital role in the daily processing of Securities and Structured Notes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide essential support to the Head or delegate in the efficient and accurate processing of Fixed Income trade settlements and Corporate Actions.
- Ensure adherence to all statutory regulations and the bank's operational protocols.
- Offer cross-team support within the Securities Operations and Structured Notes Department.
- Maintain compliance with processing KPIs and service levels, focusing on error reduction.
- Drive operational efficiency by optimizing processes and implementing effective solutions.
- Assist in User Acceptance Testing for new roll-outs, change requests, and bug fixes.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned within the GMOC division or as directed by the Department Head.
- Collaborate with business units and stakeholders on all initiatives and new product developments.
- Demonstrate strong analytical skills in assessing business needs, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and delivering optimal solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Banking, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in securities settlement and/or structured notes settlements.
- Familiarity with the Murex system.
- Strong multitasking abilities, prioritization skills, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proficient in Excel and its macro functionalities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage long hours.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage stakeholder relationships.
- A positive attitude, self-motivated, and a strong work ethic.
- Highly driven and capable of working effectively under pressure.
- Willingness to work on public holidays when necessary.
