About the Group Technology and Operations Department
The Group Technology and Operations (GTO) division is responsible for software and system development, IT support services, and banking operations. By centralizing and standardizing technology components in Singapore, GTO creates a global infrastructure that supports regional subsidiaries and branches worldwide, ensuring a secure and adaptable banking environment.
Our Operations divisions deliver transactional customer services while emphasizing cost efficiency through process enhancements, automation, and streamlined processing.
Key Responsibilities
Role Overview
This position reports to the Head or designated representative of Securities Operations and Structured Notes within the Global Markets Operations Centre, providing assistance in the daily management of Securities and Structured Notes.
Main Duties
- Support the Head or delegate in the efficient and accurate processing of Fixed Income trade settlements and Corporate Actions.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory regulations and the bank's operational protocols.
- Provide cross-functional coverage within the Securities Operations and Structured Notes Department.
- Adhere to processing KPIs and service level agreements, focusing on error reduction.
- Drive operational efficiency by refining processes and implementing quick-win solutions.
- Assist in User Acceptance Testing for new roll-outs, change requests, and bug fixes.
- Undertake additional tasks as assigned within the GMOC division or as directed by the Department Head of Securities Operations and Structured Notes.
- Collaborate with business units and stakeholders on all initiatives and new product launches.
- Demonstrate strong analytical skills in assessing business needs, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and delivering optimal solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Banking, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in securities settlement and/or structured notes processing.
- Familiarity with the Murex system.
- Strong multitasking abilities, prioritization skills, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proficient in Excel and its macro functionalities.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage long hours effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for stakeholder management.
- Positive attitude, self-motivated, and strong work ethic.
- Highly driven and capable of thriving in high-pressure environments.
- Willingness to work on public holidays in Singapore when necessary.
