As a Human Resources Advisor at Monks, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the operational and personnel strategy to ensure we attract, retain, and nurture exceptional talent who are dedicated to Monks and its ethos as we experience rapid growth. You will collaborate with our global HR team to enhance our organization’s agility, focusing on the development and retention of top-tier talent while promoting a diverse and inclusive workplace culture. This role demands a proactive leadership approach, requiring you to function independently as a consultant to the HR team, business units, and senior management. It is essential that HR deliverables align with business goals and are executed seamlessly.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate within our global HR division, overseeing all HR functions while working alongside HR generalists and our regional People Hub to implement people-centric initiatives. Mentor and develop team members to ensure high-quality support for our workforce. Work in partnership with the regional HR director to provide strategic insights and lead the HR team in executing best practices related to benefits, compliance, employee relations, and compensation, adhering to our global standards. Engage continuously with senior management to assess needs and prioritize initiatives for the team. Collaborate across operating companies to integrate and share resources proactively with other HR teams.

Leadership and Employee Support

Partner with senior leaders to offer guidance, support, and coaching. Serve as the primary contact for senior leadership, acting as a trusted advisor at all organizational levels. Manage employee relations matters and investigations, providing assistance to HRBPs and managers to navigate complex situations. Ensure external legal counsel is consulted when necessary to address legal issues.

Organizational Effectiveness

Develop operational frameworks to enhance efficiency, agility, and collaboration. Ensure that both strategic planning and tactical execution are considered in all HR activities. Lead the establishment of comprehensive operational policies, ensuring staff training and compliance verification. Facilitate the review and enhancement of existing policies to meet the needs of a dynamic organization. Identify and implement process improvements within the team. Strengthen the delivery and execution of HR programs, operations, and services to enhance the employee experience. Ensure compliance with all employment regulations and collaborate with HRBPs to communicate findings to leadership.

Company-wide Initiatives

Drive the implementation of People programs and projects as we continue to expand. Collaborate with various teams such as DE&I, Talent Discovery, and People Operations to launch diverse initiatives and projects within the region. Provide support for a range of special initiatives as directed by HR Leadership. The scope of these initiatives will vary based on organizational needs. Typically, these initiatives will be developed by Senior HRBPs and transitioned to the appropriate team members for execution. When opportunities arise to enhance operational efficiency, improve employee experience, or increase organizational effectiveness, you will take the initiative and consult with team members.

Qualifications:

A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in an HR capacity or equivalent qualifications, including at least 2 years in a business partnering role. Proven experience in managing and mentoring junior staff. Demonstrated success as an HR Generalist or Business Partner supporting a workforce of 200+ employees. History of building effective relationships across all organizational levels and with diverse groups. A confident leader with exceptional presentation and communication abilities. A hands-on, approachable leader who inspires and motivates others. Skilled problem solver with a strong sense of initiative and personal accountability. Committed to maintaining the highest ethical standards, data integrity, established processes, documentation, and continuous learning. Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to prioritize effectively. Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. High emotional intelligence and compassion are key success factors.
