Job Description

As an Employee Benefits Insurance Broker, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, understanding their evolving needs and providing exceptional customer service to retain clients and build long-term partnerships.

You will conduct thorough assessments to understand client's specific needs and objectives, analyze the existing employee benefits programs and identify areas for improvement on renewal. You will also help clients manage and control the costs of their benefits and provide strategies for cost containment.

Your role will involve identifying the insurance market to find best available plans and carriers, designing customized employee benefits plans that align with client's goals and budget, and presenting multiple options and explaining the benefits and drawbacks of each.

You will negotiate with insurance carriers to secure the best rates and terms for the client, leveraging industry knowledge and relationships to obtain favorable terms for clients.

In addition, you will conduct in-person or online sessions to brief employees on their benefits, provide ongoing support to answer employee/HR questions and resolve issues, and assist in claim escalations from HR or employees.

You will review performance of the insurance plans to ensure they continue to meet client's needs, recommend changes to the plans based on feedback from client and/or industry trends, and conduct remarketing exercises to compare the terms against existing insurance carrier.
