Roles & Responsibilities

The Regional Key Account Manager acts as the company's key representative, engaging with clients to build strong partnerships, enhance customer retention, and drive business growth. This role demands a strategic approach to account management, business development, and customer relationship management across South-East Asia and Oceania.

Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customer contacts, including sourcing, operations, supply chain, and project stakeholders at the regional level.
  • Analyze customer supply chain needs to identify opportunities for the company's services (air, sea, third-party logistics, etc.).
  • Collaborate with Regional/Country Sales & Marketing Heads and Executive Sponsors to develop and implement strategies for business continuity and expansion.
Account Management
  • Engage with key decision-makers and influencers to strengthen regional partnerships.
  • Manage multiple Global Key Accounts, ensuring they align with business objectives.
  • Achieve and surpass budget targets, including net sales and volume goals.
  • Lead and coordinate in-country Key Account Teams, fostering collaboration and efficiency.
  • Maintain comprehensive customer profiles, including air and sea trade lane target volumes.
  • Ensure all account activities and insights are regularly updated in the CRM system.
  • Work with the Global Account Manager to manage contracts, including Master Service Agreements (MSA), Statements of Work (SOW), and Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA).
  • Organize and oversee key client engagements, including meetings, RFQs, and business implementations (SOPs, training, projects, and reports).
  • Partner with in-country Key Account Managers (KAMs) to create tailored solutions that optimize cost, quality, and value-added services based on customer needs.
  • Address and resolve service failures, claims, KPI issues, and accounts receivable (AR) concerns efficiently.
  • Support profit & loss (P&L) optimization by providing relevant financial insights to the account management team.
  • Drive innovation and strategic solutions, fostering a collaborative, partner-focused approach with both internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience: Minimum 10 years in account management, including at least 5 years in regional account management.
  • Industry Expertise: Strong background in logistics or supply chain management.
