Roles & Responsibilities

The Lead Enterprise Software Sales Executive will focus on developing and closing new business while collaborating with the UL Solutions Sales team, Affiliate Executives, and Alliance Partners to grow our client base among Fortune 1000 and select mid-market companies.

Responsibilities:

  • Master and effectively position UL Solutions' Software and Advisory offerings to drive meaningful business outcomes for clients.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets by promoting UL Solutions' Software and Advisory solutions to assigned enterprise accounts.
  • Own 5-7 key enterprise accounts, developing comprehensive, solution-oriented strategies for the entire S&A portfolio.
  • Manage assigned accounts and strategically engage prospects to secure new business opportunities.
  • Drive new client acquisition and expand existing accounts within your designated territory.
  • Lead end-to-end sales processes, including discovery, opportunity identification, proposals, and deal closure.
  • Cultivate and grow executive-level relationships within client organizations to solidify trust and long-term collaboration.
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of industry trends, client needs, and market dynamics.
  • Articulate the value of UL's software and advisory offerings in clear, compelling ways to clients and prospects.
  • Collaborate with Pre-Sales, Sales Support Specialists, and Client Success teams to ensure seamless execution and renewal of solutions.
  • Conduct client interactions in person and virtually (video, phone, email) to nurture relationships and close deals.
  • Travel as needed for high-priority client engagements.
  • Leverage creativity and strategic thinking in client solutions, pricing, and pursuit strategies.
  • Differentiate UL Solutions' offerings through innovative approaches to product marketing and client engagement.
  • Utilize CRM tools and sales best practices to manage processes and track performance effectively.
  • Collaborate across internal teams, alliance partners, and external stakeholders to maximize sales impact.
  • Prepare and deliver high-impact presentations and proposals using Microsoft Office tools.
  • Set and achieve quarterly or annual sales goals, monitoring progress and reporting to leadership.
  • Share client feedback and opportunities with Engineering and other teams to support continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in sales, account management, and sales operations.
  • Proven track record of consistently exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong business acumen and expertise in sales processes.
  • Industry experience with knowledge of trends and challenges.
  • Demonstrated success in developing strategies, lead generation campaigns, and closing multi-million-dollar deals with large multinational manufacturers.
  • Hands-on experience in pursuing, managing, and closing strategic accounts.
  • Exceptional strategic and analytical skills.
  • Independent and strategic thinker with the ability to partner with leadership to drive results.
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills with high-level decision-makers.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across teams in a sales-focused environment.
  • Innovative self-starter with a proactive mindset.
  • Skilled at presenting to diverse audiences both virtually and in person.
  • Proficient in MS Office, CRM platforms, and digital account planning tools.
  • Willingness to travel over 50%.
