12 hour shift - 730AM to 730PM OR 730PM to 730AM

Working Location: Pasir Panjang or Tuas

Salary up to $3200

  • Sign-on bonus upon joining

The Assistant Operations Executive supports the day-to-day execution of vessel operations and ensures optimal resource planning to facilitate smooth berthing, loading, and discharging activities at the terminal.

Key Responsibilities:

Vessel Operations

  • Coordinate with planning and terminal teams to ensure timely berthing, container discharge, and loading operations.
  • Monitor real-time vessel schedules and movements to ensure alignment with operational timelines.
  • Assist in resolving any on-site operational issues or deviations during vessel turnaround.
  • Liaise with shipping lines, port pilots, and other stakeholders to support safe and efficient vessel handling.

Resource Planning

  • Assist in planning and allocation of manpower, cranes, yard equipment, and berth space based on vessel schedules and workload forecasts.
  • Monitor operational performance and adjust resource deployment to meet KPIs.
  • Support the development of shift schedules and ensure optimal staffing levels for 24/7 port operations.

Operational Support

  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and operational standards.
  • Participate in operational briefings, shift handovers, and incident reviews.
  • Maintain accurate operational records, reports, and documentation.

Requirements:

  1. Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Maritime Studies, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  2. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and coordination skills.
  3. Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, and shift-based environment (including weekends and public holidays).
  4. Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of terminal operating systems is an advantage.
