Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee banquet events including seminars, meetings, weddings, lunches, dinners, high-tea, and outside catering.
- Supervise and delegate tasks to banquet waiters and casual workers, ensuring smooth event operations.
- Coordinate with event organizers on program agendas, meal breaks, and room setup requirements.
- Ensure banquet setups, furniture, and equipment are maintained to hotel standards through regular checks, inventories, and maintenance.
- Handle service recovery promptly, manage guest complaints, and make decisions to achieve the best outcomes for the organization.
- Collaborate closely with catering sales and other departments to meet guest expectations and support special requests.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, regular bookers, and internal teams to drive service excellence and repeat business.
- Plan staffing requirements, conduct daily briefings, and maximize productivity through multi-tasking and innovative practices.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Banquet Captain.
- Genuine, passionate, and service-oriented personality with a professional and friendly attitude.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Flexible, decisive, and able to handle complaints or difficult situations calmly and effectively.
- A proactive team player who can adapt to changing priorities and work demands positively.
