Join us as Senior Manager, IT Specialist at AIA Investment Management

We are seeking for an IT specialist in Investment Domain covering but not limited to IT DR, IT projects and IT security specialist. The objective is to provide domain knowledge, expertise, and leadership in bridging the gap between technology and complex investment related business requirements. Candidate is also expected to lead and guide the team and engage with internal teams and vendors to deliver efficient, compliant and data driven solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead IT DR manager role covering all investment systems.
  • SME in the investment related IT project and ensuring effective collaboration with business, vendors, and Internal IT teams.
  • Lead and work with IT Security team to perform Third Party Security Assessment (TPSA) for system onboarding.
  • Local IT SME to work with Group Investment Solutions teams for system onboarding.
  • Collaborate with local business analyst and stakeholders, especially portfolio manager and traders, to understand business challenges, collect business requirements to prepare / review System Functional Requirement Document to ensure alignment.
  • Understand Investment business from market perspective to make sure the technology is being delivered in the right direction.
  • Partner with IT and vendors to develop solution, proposal preparation, drive development from IT compliance and governance angle and delivery.
  • Lead IT team to define System Integration Testing (SIT)
  • Understand firmwide technology and data services needs for Investment Business.
  • Evaluating and optimising the tools and systems for efficient business processes and manage key vendor relationship to improve solution quality.
  • Open minded, listens and takes into consideration different views of stakeholders to make optimal decisions for the needs of customers to create win-win solutions for all involved.
  • Disciplined and transparent in executing initiatives by balancing change and driving outcome.
  • Participate and trace enhancement activities including improvement opportunity identification.
  • Manage end-to-end business system incident management with IT support to address the issue.
  • Monthly review and to prioritize business requests with business stakeholders.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years experience with expertise in Investment industry
  • Investment IT / System implementation experience is a must
  • Certifications/licenses – PMP, CISO, IT Security related certifications
  • Workflow automation experience will be an asset (e.g. RPA, NPL, ML, AI etc)
  • Experience in business system incident and problem management
  • Solution and Problem Solving orientated – with skills to break down problems into root causes and addressing underlying issues which may not by system, but due to other reasons
  • Strong language and communication skills required – experience in writing business requirements, presentations, and business case
  • High level influencing and interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively across an organization
  • High level team management skills, ability to manage a team effectively.
