Roles & Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the performance of outsourced maintenance service providers in civil & building systems for the hospital, ensuring all systems are functional and serviceable at all times.
  • Audit and monitor service standards rendered by specialist vendors and outsourced maintenance providers.
  • Support Head of Department and Building Managers in capital replacements, systems upgrades, and building improvement projects.
  • Coordinate and support hospital's A&A and minor works.
  • Establish clear accountability and expectations for Site Building Trade teams in collaboration with Site Lead and Group FM.
  • Assist with contract management for Civil & Building systems, including monitoring, escalation, claims, disputes, and retention processes.
  • Maintain contractual and authority records; ensure compliance and proper documentation for audits and authorities.
  • Develop, harmonize, and update trade-related SOPs, policies, and checklists to align with industry best practices.
  • Monitor and manage vendors' performance against KPIs, conduct audits, and ensure timely repair of system faults and breakdowns.
  • Participate in risk management for contract renewals and procurement, ensuring compliance with finance and procurement policies.
  • Lead investigations into incidents or system failures, determine root causes, and implement preventive measures.
  • Plan and oversee civil & building system upgrades or replacements before end-of-life expiration.
  • Mentor and develop capabilities of Building Trade Team members; participate in knowledge sharing sessions.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Civil & Building Services and facilities related
  • Three (3) years of relevant experience in management of Civil & Building services, facilities operations, and improvement projects.
  • Certificate in Fire Safety Manager/Officer or relevant fire safety experience is advantageous.
