Roles & Responsibilities

Role

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain integrations between Workday and other internal and external systems, ensuring data consistency, accuracy, and security.
  • Define data mapping and transformation rules to facilitate the exchange of data between Workday and various systems, including HRIS, payroll, finance, and third-party applications.
  • Implement and maintain customizations within the Workday platform, including calculated fields, business processes, and reports, to meet the organization's specific requirements.
  • Establish and enforce data governance policies and procedures to maintain data integrity, confidentiality, and compliance with regulatory requirements, such as GDPR and CCPA.
  • Implement error handling mechanisms and troubleshoot data integration issues, working closely with cross-functional teams and vendors to identify root causes and implement timely resolutions.
  • As a proactive and organized data specialist, you will be part of the data project team to work with HR and IT stakeholders to execute the data migration and transformation processes in the HR platform transformation project.
  • You will facilitate the data preparation such as data mappings, transformation and validation efforts to ensure the smooth migration of valuable HR data into the new Workday platform.
  • Work effectively in a complex, global, fast-paced matrixed environment, filled with tight deliverable timeframes and multiple stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Previous experience as a data integration engineer, with hands-on experience designing and implementing integrations involving Workday and other enterprise systems.
  • Proficiency in Workday integration tools such as Workday Studio, Enterprise Interface Builder, Workday Core Connector, and Workday Studio.
  • Together with the project team, conduct and support comprehensive HR data mapping analysis between existing HR systems and target system.
  • Collaborate with HR and IT teams to understand data requirements, ensuring accurate and efficient data migration processes.
  • Lead data transformation efforts with HR teams, ensuring data integrity, consistency, compliance with organizational and project standards
  • Work with the project team to develop and maintain documentation for data mapping, transformation rules and migration processes.
  • Develop and maintain data migration documentation, including data dictionaries, mapping specifications, and transformation logic.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to optimize data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes for efficiency and performance.
  • Strong technical skills in data mapping, transformation, and manipulation, using tools such as XSLT, XML, JSON, and SQL.
  • Experience with web services and API integration, including SOAP, REST, and Workday Web Services (WWS).
