Roles & Responsibilities

This job function reports to the Technical Director. You will lead a team of engineers to implement and support the end user IT systems, network and server infrastructure of our customers. You will be the primary contact person with customers and there is significant interaction with the IT management team of customers. The job scope and responsibilities involved are as follows:


  •  Serve as the company’s contact person to Interact with the management team of customers, gather and analyze their requirements for IT and telecommunications systems.
  •  Provide guidance to a team of engineers to implement IT server systems which may include physical servers, virtual servers with VMware, Microsoft Hyper V as well as Acronis disaster recovery and data backup facilities.
  •  Provide guidance to a team of engineers to perform server administration functions such as user management, resource management, access rights management and data backups according to the requirements of the customer.
  •  Provide guidance to a team of engineers to perform server application software support such as Microsoft Exchange administration and management, Active Directory administration, policy implementation and management and SQL server administration.
  •  Provide guidance to a team of engineers to provide on-site enterprise IT support services at customers’ premises which include the set up and support for PC desktops, notebooks, Macs, printers and related software such as Office, Office 365 and other general office application software.
  •  Provide guidance to a team of engineers to implement telecom network systems which may include IP network switches, routers, network monitoring systems as well as internet telephony gateway equipment and IP PABX’s at customers’ premises.
  •  Provide guidance to a team of engineers to perform typical office network administration and management tasks such as the creation of new users, modification of user rights, managing user groups, mailboxes and shared network file folders.
  •  Provide guidance to a team of engineers to identify any operational and technical issues related to the IT systems involved, solving the identified issues, liaising with system vendors for equipment servicing, updating the related work processes and documentation, where applicable.
  •  Provide guidance to a team of engineers to implement and enforce customer’s IT security policies and procedures.
  •  Provide advice to customers on software updates and IT security updates, obtaining approval from customers for the plans to perform the updates and to implement the plans accordingly.
  •  Provide guidance to a team of engineers to perform IT asset audit, update the asset listing and keep track of all hardware maintenance contracts at the request of the customer.
  •  Provide advice to customers regarding systems that may require major system upgrades or a technology refresh.
  •  Provide guidance to a team of engineers to perform network monitoring and system management using the network monitoring tools available.
