Business Development Executive

This role is essential in driving business growth by identifying and capitalizing on new opportunities while maintaining and expanding relationships with existing clients. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing strategic marketing and sales plans that align with the company's goals.
As a Business Development Executive, you will work closely with internal teams and senior management to ensure sales targets are met and exceeded. You will be expected to stay ahead of industry trends, analyze market conditions, and build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. This role requires excellent communication and negotiation skills, as well as a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
Additionally, you will support marketing efforts to enhance brand visibility and generate leads by collaborating on promotional materials and campaigns. The role also involves frequent visits to architects, consultants, and key industry stakeholders to present our products and explore business opportunities. Attendance at networking events, trade shows, and industry exhibitions is expected to strengthen business relationships and stay updated on market trends. A marketing background will be advantageous in creating impactful sales presentations and promotional strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and secure new business through prospecting, cold calling, and networking, while managing client relationships and providing excellent after-sales service.
- Generate architectural specifications.
- Conduct market research to identify new trends and sales opportunities.
- Achieve KPIs set by the company.
- Provide weekly reports.
- Be a subject matter expert on our products as well as key competitors' products.
- Identify and develop new markets and improve relationships with existing customers through innovative strategies.
- Collaborate with other departments to determine budgets and targets.
- Develop clear and concise business proposals and reports on new revenue streams, improved products, and new business opportunities.
- Perform any other ad-hoc responsibilities assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum Diploma
- 3+ years of relevant sales and marketing experience
- Proficient in English (written and spoken)
- Conversational Chinese is a bonus
- Strong presentation and analytical skills
- Results driven and energetic
- Tenacious personality and able to work in sometimes rugged conditions at site
- Knowledge in the built-environment / building materials / interior design / architecture sector (preferred)
- Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
