Roles & Responsibilities

Job Purpose:


Tsao Foundation leads the way in using technology to promote healthy aging, and the Director of Technology is to drive this mission forward. This role involves leveraging AI and other technologies to enhance people's lives as they age as well as spearheading the Foundation's technological advancements, ensuring we remain at the forefront of innovation in the active aging space, both locally and regionally.


Key Responsibilities:


Strategic Vision and Leadership:

  • Technology Roadmap: Develop a forward-thinking technology strategy and roadmap that aligns with Tsao Foundation's mission; pioneering new solutions and optimizing operations to achieve strategic goals.
  • Future-Focused: Stay ahead of emerging technologies (AI, IoT, wearables, etc.) and proactively identify opportunities to enhance our services and impact.
  • Business-Tech Alignment: Collaborate closely with leadership and program teams to translate their needs into impactful technology solutions.


Technological Transformation:

  • Legacy to Modern: Assess and strategically integrate existing systems to create an efficient digital infrastructure.
  • Innovation Champion: Foster a culture of innovation across the organization, encouraging exploration and adoption of new technologies.
  • Digital Transformation: Lead the charge in transitioning programs and services to digital platforms, enhancing accessibility and scalability.


Robust and Secure Infrastructure:

  • Cybersecurity Guardian: Oversee implementation and maintenance of robust security measures, ensuring compliance with regulations e.g. Cybersecurity Trustmark, PDPA.
  • Data Protection: Collaborate with DPO to foster a strong data privacy culture safeguarding sensitive data.
  • Business Continuity: Develop and implement comprehensive disaster recovery plans and work with stakeholders to develop and implement incident response plans.
  • Risk Assessment: ⁠Carry out regular risk assessment and recommend resolution and/or mitigating measures to minimize the risk profile of the organization.


Data-Driven Decision Making:

  • Data Insights: Champion use of data analytics to inform on decisions, evaluations, and improvements.
  • Data Storytelling: Implement user-friendly tools to make data insights accessible and actionable for non-technical persons.
  • Data Governance: Establish processes for data collection, cleaning, integration, and reporting, ensuring data quality and integrity.


Resource Management and Collaboration:

  • IT Policies: Develop and enforce IT policies aligned with industry best practices and non-profit regulations.
  • Budgeting and ROI: Manage the IT budget and projects to maximize impact.
  • Board Engagement: Collaborate with the Board's Technology Committee, providing updates on IT strategy, risk management, and emerging opportunities to enhance IT services and impact.

Talent and Culture:

  • Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and inspire team, to foster a collaborative and innovative environment.
  • Talent Acquisition: Attract and retain top IT talent, ensuring a skilled and diverse workforce.


Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive IT leadership experience, preferably in healthcare or social services.
  • Hands on project management experience.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, data management, and emerging technologies
  • Strategic thinker, excellent communicator, strong problem-solving and analytical skills, and a passion for leveraging technology for social good.


Salary range is indicative and will commensurate with qualification and experience.
