The role

We are looking for an experienced Sales & Business Development Director to join the team. The role will lead and drive online and MICE sales strategies, business development, and revenue growth through direct sales, partnerships, and market expansion. Responsible for sales forecasting, budgeting, client engagement, team leadership, and optimizing contracting processes to enhance Suntec's market presence.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and execute annual online and MICE sales strategies, ensuring revenue targets are met.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities while maintaining a steady flow of sales leads.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with government agencies, associations, MICE organizers, and corporate clients.
  • Oversee the end-to-end sales cycle, from lead generation and negotiation to contracting and event execution.
  • Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends, pricing, and competitor strategies.
  • Represent Suntec at trade shows, networking events, and sales trips, both locally and internationally.
  • Manage revenue budgeting, sales forecasting, and performance reporting.
  • Ensure seamless coordination with internal departments to deliver exceptional client experiences.
  • Lead product and services development and implementation.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the online sales team, fostering a high-performance culture and driving professional growth.
  • Drive commercial projects by identifying revenue opportunities, building partnerships, and ensuring successful execution aligned with business goals.

Who we look for - the ideal profile:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Marketing.
  • 5+ years in senior MICE sales, specializing in Exhibitions, Attractions, and Entertainment.
  • Strong financial acumen (P&L, Asset Management) and proven sales growth.
  • Experience in leadership, change management, and business expansion.
  • Expert in negotiation, communication, and networking.
  • Strategic, creative, and sales-driven with strong business acumen.
  • Strong leadership, team management, and collaboration abilities.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and tech-savvy (Excel & digital processes).
  • Individuals who find joy in making our customers happy.
  • Team players who love working with others and are not afraid to take ownership of their actions.
  • Proactive individuals who are eager to pitch in and support across various functions, demonstrating a willingness to collaborate and contribute.
