Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced L2 Application Support Specialist with a strong background in Swift Alliance, Java, Oracle, and UNIX to manage and support mission-critical financial applications.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in production support, troubleshooting, and incident resolution in a 24/7 high-availability environment.
Key Responsibilities:
•Incident & Problem Management:
•Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve L2 production issues related to Swift Alliance, Alliance Messaging HUB, GPI, SAG/SNL, and Java-based applications.
•Act as the primary point of contact for critical/high-impact incidents and coordinate resolution efforts with development, infrastructure, and vendor teams.
•Provide timely resolution and workaround solutions to users while escalating complex issues to L3/Vendor teams when necessary.
•Perform root cause analysis and document problem resolutions.
•System Monitoring & Maintenance:
•Perform daily health checks, batch job monitoring (Control-M), log analysis (Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana), and system performance tuning.
•Ensure end-of-day batch processes are completed successfully across multiple applications.
•Correlate events across multiple systems to identify potential root causes.
•Disaster Recovery & Compliance:
•Participate in Disaster Recovery (DR) exercises across different regions.
•Ensure all service availability post-maintenance activities (OS patching, DB patching, upgrades).
•Generate compliance reports and provide audit-related data upon request.
•Stakeholder Communication & Support:
•Work closely with business users, development teams, infrastructure teams, and vendors to ensure minimal disruption to business operations.
•Conduct problem governance calls with business users, DevOps, and vendors to prioritize and review problem tickets before resolution.
•Manage on-call rotation support for production issues during non-office hours (if required).

•Swift Product Expertise:
•Swift Alliance, Alliance Messaging HUB, GPI, SAG/SNL.
•Programming & Scripting:
•Java, J2EE, JMS, Webservices, Microservices.
•UNIX Shell Scripting.
•Database & Monitoring Tools:
•Oracle (SQL, PL/SQL), Control-M, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana.
•Middleware & Cloud Platforms:
•IBM MQ, Weblogic, Tomcat, OpenShift (OCP).
•Production Support Experience:
•Hands-on IT Operations & L2/L3 Application Support.
•Incident Management, Problem Management, and ITIL processes.
•Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills in financial services applications.
•Experience with high-availability 24/7 systems and on-call support rotation.

•Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
•Exposure to cloud-native solutions and DevOps automation.

•Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
•6-10 years of relevant experience in banking/financial services supporting mission-critical applications.
