Responsibility


  • Oversee all oil & gas business activities which include but not limited to trading of petroleum and related products, trading of LNG, developing new energy related business as well as monitoring daily operations to ensure high efficiency and productivity to achieve business goals.
  • Responsible for developing and implementing overall business strategy for the oil & gas and new energy business development in the Asia Pacific region.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and collaborating with headquarters to effectively enforce Marubeni Group’s strategy in relation to development of oil & gas business in the Asia Pacific region.
  • Encourage a positive corporate culture that promotes fairness, innovation, and harmony for materializing sustainable growth. Ensure effective talent recruitment.
  • Provide appropriate guidance and support to staff for their professional growth.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations and industry standards.
  • Manage the company’s financial performance by developing financial plans, budgets, forecasts and implementing them appropriately.

Job Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree qualified or its equivalent.
  • Over 10 years of experience in the oil & gas sector.
  • Proven experience of at least 5 years as a CEO or in a similar managerial role in the oil & gas sector.
  • Demonstrate ambition and a proactive approach in leading and managing the organization.
  • In-depth knowledge of investment, finance, accounting, taxation and corporate governance.
  • Excellent communication and public speaking skills.
  • Business-level proficiency in Japanese will be advantageous to effectively communicate with headquarters in Japan and its related companies and/or clients.
