Strategic Account Manager

Our Client is a Precision Engineering MNC that offers world-class process engineering, manufacturing, materials management and testing capabilities. With 2,500+ employees worldwide, their capabilities enable the design and creation from end-to-end.
Key Responsibilities- Understand customer needs, provide solutions, and guide teams to meet expectations.
- Develop and execute sales strategies in collaboration with Sales, Engineering, and Operations.
- Establish and maintain strong customer relationships through site visits and ongoing communication.
- Lead project execution, ensuring alignment on pricing, materials, timelines, and feasibility.
- Oversee contracts, negotiations, and customer change management (ECN).
- Monitor project progress, resolve challenges, and ensure successful delivery.
- Provide sales forecasts, support strategic planning, and drive business growth.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices.
- Engage in continuous learning and contribute to special projects as needed.
- Works closely with Sales Managers, Engineering and Operations to develop strategies that result in customer penetration and sales growth.
- Make sales trips to customer sites as needed to establish new accounts and maintain current accounts.
- Works with materials management to determine lead-time and capacity.
- Develops strategies for pricing and terms, consults Sales Management, CEO/President, Operations Management.
- Holds in-plant meetings with support functions to communicate project direction and status
- Involves Manufacturing Engineers and/or a project team to process the project
- Reviews job closing and approves billing, follows up on customer receipt of project, customer satisfaction and payment for customer, supports accounting in resolving invoice/payment problems.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- At least 6 years in semiconductor or similar manufacturing industries; experience in contract manufacturing is a plus.
- Proven track record of maintaining profitability on complex machined parts and assemblies.
- Strong ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple assignments with urgency in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- High energy and initiative; adept at seeking out information and establishing strong relationships internally and externally.
- Demonstrated capability in managing and leading project teams effectively.
- Proficient presentation skills with the ability to engage and convey information clearly to stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% as needed.
