Essence of the Role

As an HR Business Partner, you are passionate about creating business value through both strategic and practical HR initiatives. You excel in working with global HR processes and providing expert guidance on people-related matters across multiple countries in Asia.

You will report directly to the SVP, People & Culture APAC, based in Australia. As part of a global HR team, you'll collaborate closely with leaders across different countries, partnering with global HR Business Partners, as well as HR specialists in our Global HR Communities of Practice.

In this role, you will act as a strategic HR Business Partner to senior leaders within your area of responsibility, providing both strategic partnering and hands-on support on key HR processes, organizational changes, compensation & benefits, workforce planning, and leadership advisory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to leaders in your area of responsibility, including support for our APAC Sales team. Provide guidance on HR processes, organizational design, compensation & benefits, workforce planning, and leadership advisory.
  • Act as the HR point of contact for selected countries across Asia, overseeing daily HR operations. Enhance local HR compliance, support leaders and employees with operational HR matters, and drive consistency in HR practices across key markets in Asia. Ensure adherence to local employment laws and regulations for designated countries.
  • Lead and coordinate change and transformation initiatives within the Asia business or as part of our global agenda. Drive the people aspect of change, contributing to initiatives that enhance business performance, support organic growth, and build our Sinch culture.
  • Balance global functions with regional needs, providing insights that shape our global HR strategy. Contribute to the harmonization of HR practices post-acquisition, working with HR colleagues to create a unified and positive employee experience.
  • Embody and promote our Sinch culture and core values, acting as a cultural ambassador who inspires others and helps strengthen our organizational culture.

Who You Are

To be successful in this role, we believe you:

  • Have over 10 years of experience as an HR Business Partner, with deep expertise in the Singapore and Asia markets. International experience is a plus.
  • Have comprehensive knowledge across HR areas, including workforce planning, organizational change, talent management, performance development, HR compliance, and operational excellence.
  • Have in-depth understanding of Singapore employment legislation and compliance, with a strong ability to navigate complex labor laws across the region.
  • Have proven ability to define, structure, and lead HR initiatives with a project-oriented approach.
  • Are a self-starter who takes the initiative and thrives in fast-paced environments, with the agility and resilience to navigate change and bring order to complexity.
  • Have superior verbal and written communication skills in English, coupled with excellent relationship-building skills that inspire trust at all organizational levels.
