Roles & Responsibilities

Overview:

The Manager / Assistant Manager will support the Director in driving and leading the Training and Research arm of the department to shift care beyond hospitals into communities by empowering patients and caregivers to manage their health.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a sustainable training and research roadmap and community engagement framework to enhance department's branding and reputation.
  • Drive strategic projects and initiatives to build and sustain community partnerships, enabling individuals to take charge of their health.
  • Establish partnerships for training volunteers and co-create a community of practice in community activation and caregiving.
  • Build a vibrant marketplace for volunteers and partners to network, share experiences, and bond, facilitating better decision-making and corporate governance.
  • Create communities of activated volunteers with shared interests and leverage learnings for research and framework improvement.
  • Identify and leverage potential funding programs and partners to implement pilot training programs under the department.
  • Establish governance and volunteer management framework for community programs, ensuring adherence to organizational values and volunteer engagement.
  • Identify research tools and methodologies to increase patient activation levels and support experiential learning.
  • Lead and execute large-scale events such as the Singapore Patient Conference and Singapore Patient Action Awards.

Job Requirements:

  • Degree in business, communications, social sciences, behavioral science, psychology, social anthropology, or related field (advantageous).
  • Minimum of five years in community engagement and/or research, preferably in healthcare or social service sectors, with leadership experience.
  • Strategic thinker and influencer with strong leadership skills.
  • Effective under tight deadlines, with excellent organizational and project management abilities.
  • Resourceful problem solver with exceptional communication skills and a resilient, upbeat attitude.
