Job Description

Purpose

  • A key member of the team involved in developing comprehensive communication strategies and ensuring seamless integration across different business divisions.
  • Requires a solid grasp of all facets of media relations activities, from planning to execution, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.

Responsibilities

  • Devise and implement efficient media relations strategies and initiatives, identifying avenues to enhance the company's presence through diverse channels within its target business communities.
  • Guarantee consistent and professional delivery of internal and external messages that mirror our corporate values.
  • Lead critical corporate communications projects for the organization.
  • Address and manage media expectations and public perception promptly to mitigate any adverse effects on Mediacorp.
  • Serve as a custodian of the brand to maintain a uniform corporate image across all communication platforms.
  • Execute various public relations, corporate communications, and internal communication activities to elevate the Group's visibility and reputation.
  • Foster strong government and international relationships and cultivate positive media rapport, both locally and globally.
  • Provide support on protocol-related issues to the team.
  • Initiate strategic public relations campaigns to showcase the 'Mediacorp' narrative effectively.
  • Analyze and evaluate the outcomes of PR and media endeavors.
Qualification
  • Must hold a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Demonstrated experience in corporate communications within sizeable corporations.
  • Familiarity with prevailing internal and external communication platforms and trends.
  • A proven track record of orchestrating proactive media and public relations campaigns, including crisis management and damage control.
  • Ability to conceptualize and oversee comprehensive communication strategies, message formulation, and corporate positioning.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in interacting with diverse external audiences, such as the media, business associates, regulatory bodies, etc.
  • Strong capabilities in stakeholder engagement and management, both with the media and internal senior leadership.
  • Possess exceptional negotiation and interpersonal skills, alongside strong influencing abilities.
  • Self-driven with a penchant for delving into details and taking hands-on approaches.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for meeting tight deadlines and a knack for handling projects from start to finish with a strategic mindset.
  • Must embody strong teamwork ethics.
