Roles & Responsibilities

Job Summary:

The Hotel Reservation and Revenue Manager is responsible for overseeing the reservation operations and revenue management strategies of the hotel to optimize occupancy, average daily rate (ADR), and revenue per available room (RevPAR). This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of market trends, competitive positioning, and effective pricing strategies to maximize revenue while ensuring exceptional guest experiences.


Key Responsibilities:

- Reservation Management:

o Manage and oversee all reservation activities to ensure efficient and effective processing of bookings.

o Ensure accuracy in reservations, confirmations, and guest information.

o Handle group bookings, corporate accounts, and special requests with professionalism and efficiency.

o Develop and implement reservation policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency.

- Revenue Management:

o Develop and execute revenue management strategies to achieve optimal room rates and occupancy levels.

o Analyze market trends, historical data, and competitive set performance to make informed pricing and inventory decisions.

o Monitor and adjust pricing strategies based on demand forecasts, market conditions, and special events.

o Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop promotions and packages that drive revenue growth.

- Forecasting and Reporting:

o Prepare and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly reports on reservations, revenue, and occupancy.

o Provide forecasting and budget recommendations to senior management based on historical data and market analysis.

o Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to revenue management and reservation performance.

- Customer Service and Communication:

o Ensure high levels of guest satisfaction by addressing and resolving any reservation-related issues promptly.

o Maintain effective communication with guests, staff, and management to ensure seamless operations and guest experiences.

o Provide training and support to reservation staff to enhance their skills and performance.

- Technology and Systems:

o Utilize property management systems (PMS), revenue management systems (RMS), and other relevant software tools effectively.

o Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements to continuously improve reservation and revenue management practices.

- Compliance and Best Practices:

o Ensure compliance with hotel policies, procedures, and industry regulations.

o Implement best practices for reservation and revenue management to maintain competitive advantage and operational excellence.
