Responsible for NEON Global's freight management. Successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating, schedule, procure and arranging shipments. He/ She is responsible for ensuring sourcing for freight forwarders, negotiate rates, procure & monitor shipments, and ensuring timely delivery.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Scheduling and monitoring shipments to ensure that delivery dates are met.
  • Negotiate shipping rates with transportation companies.
  • Experience shipping class 3 dangerous goods is important.
  • Good awareness of customs procedures in Singapore and internationally
  • Ensuring that all operations are carried out in an efficient manner.
  • Coordinating with other departments to ensure that shipment requirements are organized, scheduled and executed on time.
  • Ensure any requirement for procurement are identified, approved and procured in a timely, well-documented and cost-efficient manner.
  • Establish and update vendor database.
  • Source for new vendors for better service, pricing, payment terms and vendor diversification.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with vendors.

  • Strong Negotiation, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Proven Planning and Coordination skills
  • Driven problem solver, always looking for the most efficient and cost-effective solution
  • Must be able to take control and be accountable
  • Good Communication skills, including fluency in spoken and written English
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, set priorities and support company objectives
  • Good understanding of supply chain management and interaction of Logistics and Procurement

Requirements:

  • Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or equivalent.
  • Minimum 6 years of supply chain experience.
  • Prior experience within project management will be an added advantage.
