Roles & Responsibilities

Reporting to the Human Resource Director (HRD), the successful candidate will be responsible for the full spectrum of HR functions.

Specific Responsibilities include:

  • Work with the HRD in the development and implementation of all human resource policies; develops, reviews, and recommends changes to policies in accordance with Employment Act and Government Regulations.
  • Plan, control, manage, supervise, coordinate, and implement the Club’s human resource system, including benefits & welfare, recruiting, hiring, orientations, training, wage and salary administration, human resource record administration, and legal compliance.
  • Coordinate development and production of the Club’s annual budget; prepares budget projects, analyzes budget requests for Management approval.
  • Oversee and manage the end-to-end recruitment process; collaborate with hiring managers to understand their team dynamics and long-term staffing needs.
  • Interpret and advise employees and management on human resource policies; meets with employees and supervisors to resolve grievances; consults with supervisors and union officials regarding various human resource matters.
  • Manage the performance evaluation system; review and approve all phases of the process; conducts performance evaluation for Human Resources staff.
  • Manage employee relations and union matters; ensure compliance with local employment laws and harmonious industrial relations.
  • Prepare reports and policy documents; analyzes and prepares statistical information, such as turnover, etc
  • Conduct salary and compensation survey on industry’s trends, so as to develop competitive and innovative benefits and compensation programs and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
  • Design, curate, and implement programmes and diverse learning solutions that drive capability building and the workforce for the future, including the effectiveness of L&D.
  • Perform analysis such as learning needs analysis and identify metrics/KPIs to track programme impact, learning utilization and other talent and learning development outcomes.
  • Develop methodologies and training evaluation to ensure effective learning outcomes.
  • Responsible for overseeing the training department, ensuring a systematic and structure training policy and programs is put in place to upgrade the level of service standards.
  • Identify individuals’ competency, so as to make plans, train and coach them in order for the individuals to be capable and able to perform jobs assigned to achieve the objectives.

Key Attributes:

  • Degree in Human Resource Management will be an advantage
  • Minimum 5 years of related experience with at least 3 years of demonstrated experience in a management role in the hospitality industry
  • Proven track record as an effective Human Resource professional and the ability to lead and motivate
  • Familiar with Singapore labour laws and regulations
  • Business acumen and strong leadership, planning, problem solving, organisational and analytical skills
  • Tactful with pleasant and outgoing personality, excellent communication and interpersonal skills
