Key AccountabilitiesLocation: Tuas South. Transport (at designated MRT station) and lunch provided.
• Ensure adequate maintenance schedules are in place and are followed
• Respond rapidly to any issues with facilities to cause minimum disruption to the technical team
• Identify risks and barriers to successful delivery within work, and implement recommendations for resolution in order to manage the risk
• Liaise with engineering to ensure facilities are fit-for-use with minimal disruption to daily operations of the technical team
• Ensure the facilities meet current and future needs
• Propose improvements to facilities to meet future needs of the technical team. Could participate &/or lead an improvement team
• Support implementation of high level strategic changes within the facility as required
• Plans and organizes activities including goals and milestones and required resources
• Supervises team and acts as deputy to Facilities Section Leader II
• Completion of hazard reports and implementing corrective and preventative measures
• Managing waste disposal for the team, as applicable
• Contribute to risk assessments
• Interacts with Lab users, R&D managers and other departments such as Site Engineering, Procurement, HSE Advisor and contractors
• Communicate effectively with team members, other stakeholders and 3rd parties in line with company policy relating to confidentiality and code of conduct
• Supervises a small team. Manages training, H&S, quality and reviews project plans for direct reports to build development plans with support from manager, Quality & HSE
• Responsible to HSE SAQ Element 9 and contribute to Element 2,3,6 and 7.
• Support as an Internal auditor and assist in R&D ISO9001 accredited management system (Eg: Q-SAQ)
• Review and maintain of site and HSES SOP's (Critical Procedures) and Risk Assessments
• Execute, support and coordinate CAPEX projects
• Responsible as permit to work issuer/acceptor to ensure HSE compliance
according to AkzoNobel practices
• Managing of Lab equipment and maintenance of calibration requirement with
internal & external
• Support iCare management system in term of administration
· Process P.O request to P2P for R&D
· Managing the Raft admin work as to ensure smooth flow of the process
· Attend to ad hoc through Maintenance Work Order
· Coordinate with PE on renewal of licenses related to building facility
• Understand and apply AkzoNobel, site and RD&I health & safety policies and rules at all times including other AkzoNobel, supplier and customer sites to identify, report and implement areas for improvement
• Follow appropriate processes and maintain technical records to a high standard,meeting local quality standards
• Responsible for team and laboratory HSE
• Bachelor degree in technical aspect. Eg : Mechanical, Electric, chemistry, etc. , A levels or quivalent – including one in a related science discipline e.g. chemistry. A levels or experience. Typically >5 years experience in relevant role, or equivalent relevant experience.

• Forklift truck licence
