DESIGNATION :
Business Development Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES

_Role relating to Business Development_

  • Implementation of the Group's strategic objectives in accordance with its business plans.
  • Assist in the development of annual plans for business expansion, preparation ofbusiness plans and financial projections.
  • Cultivating and maintaining new and existing business relationships with partners as well as franchisees. The role will also entail the cultivation and maintenance of contacts with government representatives and regulatory bodies.
  • Evaluate new projects by conducting feasibility studies for new projects and creating financial projections and investment papers.
  • Work together with the country teams in establishing and setup of new schools, centres and any other business relationships.

_ Role relating to Franchising_

  • Solicit, negotiate and secure potential Franchisees in in markets of interest to the Group.
  • Build strong franchisor and franchisee relationships.
  • Harness existing network, initiate contact, negotiate and achieving franchising deals.
  • Develop and execute franchise strategies & framework to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
  • Provide operational and development support to all new and existing franchisees in the respective markets.
  • Lead liaison point for Franchisee matters
  • Conduct market analysis & intelligence and annual plan development for uptodate market changes
  • Keep track of market intelligence in the industry in respect to market development, projects, competitive activity, competitive activity, customers
  • Prepare quarterly reviews and evaluation of Franchisee performance and results.
  • Responsible for compliance to legal and regulatory requirements with franchisees
  • Identification and research on potential sites for new Franchises and advise management of new opportunities.
  • Establish strategic objectives for each market using the levers of margin, price and setting for achieving above market sales, service and profit targets.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in Business or equivalent professional qualifications
  • Proven working experience as a business development manager
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience
  • Knowledge of the Preschool, Primary education sector will be an advantage
  • Meticulous, resourceful, selfdriven and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Superior written and verbal communication skill
  • Able to work closely with internal and external stakeholders
  • Solid knowledge of computer software: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
