JOB SUMMARY

The HR Manager collaborates with Human Resources and Operations employees to execute the daily activities of the Human Resource Office. This includes overseeing recruitment, total compensation, training and development, association/labor relations, engagement, and performance management. The main focus is on providing HR services that exceed employees' needs and drive business success, while ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and procedures.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education and Experience


- High school diploma or GED; 4 years of experience in human resources, management operations, or a related area.

OR


- 2-year degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field from an accredited university; 2 years of experience in human resources, management operations, or a related area.


- Previous experience in a Human Resources team within hotels is preferred.


- Proficient in Singapore's Employment Act, MOM Regulations, and other relevant government guidelines and policies.


- Familiarity with various Singapore government online platforms and services.

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

Leading and Monitoring Recruitment and Hiring Activity


- Assists in interviewing and hiring Human Resource team members with the required skills.


- Maintains contact with external recruitment sources and attends job fairs.


- Networks with local organizations to source candidates for current or future openings.


- Oversees candidate identification and selection processes and provides expertise to property managers.


- Collaborates with vendor partners for effective advertisement efforts and performance quality control.

Administering and Providing Education Related to Employee Benefits


- Works with unemployment services provider to address claims and reviews reports for accuracy.


- Prepares and distributes unemployment claim activity reports and attends hearings.


- Ensures availability of resources to administer employee benefits.

Managing Employee Development


- Supports departmental orientation programs and ensures cross-training for daily operations support.


- Utilizes on-the-job training tools, conducts training, and facilitates new hire orientation programs.


- Collaborates with the management team to establish orientation processes and new hire training.

Maintaining Employee Relations


- Maintains effective employee communication, reviews discipline documentation, and addresses employee concerns.


- Utilizes an open-door policy for addressing employee problems timely.


- Partners with relevant departments for issue resolution and conducts accident investigations.

Managing Legal and Compliance Practices


- Ensures proper maintenance of employee files and compliance with accessing, reviewing, and auditing procedures.


- Maintains medical records securely and conducts necessary drug testing.


- Communicates property rules, safety policies, and manages workers' compensation claims.
