The Role

Guest Services Officer/Agent plays a primary role in sculpting a positive arrival and departure experience for all guests. Reception tasks and duties of a Guest Services Officer/Agent extend from check-ins, check-outs, cashiering and preparing daily reports.

Guest Service Officer/Agent performs their daily duties and tasks to the highest standards at all times as they assist in creating memorable hotel experiences for all guests.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide efficient and attentive guest experiences for guests, including checkin, checkout and instay.
  • Demonstrate updated knowledge of hotel room categories, room rates, packages, promotions, surrounding events and other general product knowledge necessary to perform daily duties.
  • Maximise room occupancy & revenue and use upselling techniques to promote hotel services and facilities.
  • Make reservations with a Sales person's mind to sell a topdown approach and match the guest's preferences.
  • Anticipate and appreciate the needs of guests to better cater to their needs.
  • Always look for alternatives or best solutions to achieve guests' queries/ preferences.
  • Communicate any positive and negative guest comments to the Guest Services Executive or Duty Manager.
  • Communicate any special requests by guests to the appropriate department, or seek assistance and guidance from the Guest Services Executive or Duty Manager.
Talent Profile

  • Posses at least 1 year front office experience in the hotel industry.
  • Possess at least a GCE 'N', 'O' Levels
  • Have a passion for the service industry.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Can do attitude and able to work in a team
