Orchard Hotel Singapore, a member of Millennium & Copthorne International - a global hotel group with properties in major gateway cities and operating more than 160 hotels worldwide, is looking for passionate and service-oriented individuals for the following position:

Associate Director of Sales

Associate Director of Sales is responsible for maximizing revenue opportunities in the areas of room reservations by driving sales acquisitions, maximizing business opportunities, and increasing business conversions. The person is knowledgeable of local and international market trends and would recommend strategic sales initiatives to win the business and maintain the hotel's market leader position as preferred hotel for international business travel segments.

Reporting to the Director of Business Development, the incumbent will be responsible to: -

  • Supports the Director of Business Development in maintaining business excellence and guiding the team to achieve business goals.
  • Utilise knowledge of local and international corporate segments to drive and support business acquisition and conversion.
  • Acquire new business and maintain existing business relationships with accounts.
  • Proactively liaise with business support and revenue team for optimised pricing strategy and support for exceptional service delivery from operations teams of Front Office, Housekeeping and Food & Beverage to deliver exemplary guest experience.
  • Maximise group room revenue and maintain accurate room blocks including group attrition.
  • Maintain accurate and timely update of groups to support forecast accuracy.
  • Conduct sales visits, product presentations (including virtual sessions), site inspections and attend tradeshows to drive business acquisitions.
  • Produce accurate and timely reports including but not limiting to sales call reports, account development planner and post-show/tradeshow event summary.
  • Support dynamic pricing contracting with corporate accounts and direct connectivity with leisure accounts for transient bookings.
  • Respond to all RFPs and guests' enquiries in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Prepare business case to support new RFPs acquisitions.
  • Be the key contact for communication with Global Sales teams to support new account acquisition, market penetration and business conversion.
  • Qualify business opportunities, prepare corporate rate agreements based on static rates or dynamic rates contracting.
  • Ensure accurate rate loading upon signed agreement returned to hotel or RFP accepted.
  • Respond to all groups' enquiries and work with groups, meetings, and events team to drive business conversion.

Requirements:

  • At least 2-3 years of work experience in a similar capacity in the hotel industry.
  • Energetic, proactive, self-driven, highly motivated and has excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Adaptable, determined and be someone who wants to be in a fast paced environment that promotes changes and drive for achievements.
