Looking for an Event Manager in Singapore

The Event Manager role is a blend of leadership, account management, and operations. It's a big job that requires professional maturity, solid event experience, excellent relationship-building skills, and strong team dynamics.

Key Responsibilities of the Event Manager include:

  • Planning and executing meetings, conferences, incentives, and special events for clients.
  • Managing day-to-day project tasks like website development, attendee management, and budget oversight.
  • Documenting operational processes and ensuring compliance with customer regulations.
  • Handling project revenue and collaborating with the team on program billing and financial reporting.
  • Supporting pitch submissions and presentations when needed.

Your Duties:

Overall:

  • Provide consultative guidance to clients on program planning, ensuring clear objectives are set for the event.
  • Collaborate with clients to meet event goals and objectives.
  • Aid in presenting solutions to clients as part of the pitch process.
  • Assist in budgeting for proposals and client presentations.
  • Troubleshoot issues and suggest solutions to the team.

Pre-Event:

  • Help plan and manage site inspections and liaise with suppliers and clients.
  • Negotiate contracts with various vendors for event essentials.

Planning & Execution:

  • Coordinate and manage large-scale events across multiple locations.
  • Prepare necessary documentation for client meetings and program communications.
  • Ensure event execution aligns with client requirements.

Day-to-day:

  • Collaborate with the team to create proposals and manage budgets.
  • Provide support and training to team members.
  • Communicate feedback and suggestions for improvements.

Requirements:

Essential Skills:

  • Ability to thrive under pressure and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional customer service abilities.
  • Experience in event management.
  • Strong time and budget management skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and communication tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Certifications like CMP/PMP.
