Job Title: Receptionist cum Admin Assistant

Location: 1033 Upper Serangoon Road

Reports to: General Office

Job Summary:

Anderson Serangoon Junior College is seeking a competent Receptionist cum Admin Assistant for a period of three (3) months from 01 October 2024 to 31 December 2024, with an option to extend for one (1) year from 01 January 2025 to 31 December 2025. The selected personnel will support the General Office by attending to reception duties and providing administrative assistance.

Key Responsibilities:Reception Duties:
  • Attend to phone calls and walk-in enquiries.
  • Assist unwell students.
  • Provide administrative support to stakeholders.
  • Maintain the tidiness and cleanliness of the Reception Area at all times.
General Administration:
  • Manage the loan and return of college attires and blazers, maintaining accurate loan records.
  • Oversee the borrowing and returning of keys.
  • Assist in counting, sorting, packing, and distributing college materials.
  • Ensure the forms in the reception trays are current.
  • Replenish staff stationeries (e.g., markers, dusters).
  • Support school events and perform any other duties assigned by the school.
Working Hours:
  • Mondays to Thursdays: 9.00am to 6.00pm (inclusive of 0.5 hr lunch break)
  • Fridays: 9.00am to 5:30pm (inclusive of 0.5 hr lunch break)
  • Note: Services are not required on Saturdays, Sundays, and gazetted public holidays. Work schedule is subject to changes according to the college's needs.
Duration of Service:
  • Contract Period: 01 October 2024 to 31 December 2024.
  • Option to Extend: The Authority may extend the contract for one (1) year, from 01 January 2025 to 31 December 2025. This option can be exercised in whole or in parts, with written notice(s) to the Contractor before the expiration of the current Contract Period. Unless otherwise agreed, services rendered during the extended period will be subject to the same terms and conditions of the Contract.
Qualifications and Skills:Minimum Qualifications:
  • Minimum GCE "N" level
Preferred Experience:
  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience.
Required Skills:
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
