A fantastic opportunity is available for an experienced Project Manager like yourself to lead and bring your expertise to our team.

Rolls-Royce Power Systems, situated in Friedrichshafen, southern Germany, employs approximately 9,000 individuals. Their product range comprises mtu-brand high-speed engines and propulsion systems for various industries including ships, power generation, land vehicles, rail, defense, and oil and gas sectors. They also offer diesel and gas systems, battery containers for critical missions, power generation, microgrids, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take the lead in customer interactions throughout the project timeline from contract signing to project completion
  • Collaborate closely with Sales Managers to manage customer relationships
  • Support project cost estimations
  • Drive, plan, and supervise projects to ensure they meet delivery expectations, budget, and quality standards
  • Organize and lead project meetings, ensuring active participation from all members
  • Document all project meetings and diligently track progress
  • Coordinate project resources to achieve key milestones
  • Monitor project costs regularly to stay within budget
  • Develop risk mitigation strategies
  • Keep customers informed about the progress of ongoing matters
  • Conduct project reviews and prepare progress reports for internal stakeholders
  • Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to understand and coordinate project scopes
  • Establish strong relationships with local suppliers and ensure their alignment with project timelines
  • Manage customer/stakeholder interactions during project phases
  • Assist site project managers until project handover
  • Occasional overseas business travel
  • Stay updated on best project management practices

Special assignment opportunities may arise from time to time.

Requirements:

  • University degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in project management within engineered solutions
  • At least 2 years experience in electrical engineering in power systems and DRUPS
  • Knowledge of diesel engine/generator industry is a plus
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and meeting specifications
  • Project management certification (PMP or equivalent)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong team player
  • Understanding of Asian business practices and cultural differences
  • Ability to handle high-stress situations and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Resourceful and proactive individual with a keen eye on project progress
  • Willingness to travel as required
  • Proficiency in English
