The main tasks of an Executive Host in a restaurant and club setting include:

  • The Executive Host is responsible for providing a high level of customer service to restaurant and club patrons. They greet guests, assist with seating arrangements, and ensure their overall satisfaction throughout their visit.
  • Reservation Management: The Executive Host manages reservations for the restaurant and club, ensuring accurate booking and coordinating seating arrangements based on guest preferences and availability.
  • VIP Service: The Executive Host identifies and attends to VIP guests, providing personalized attention and ensuring their specific needs and preferences are met. They may arrange special accommodations, handle special requests, and ensure a memorable experience for VIP patrons.
  • Problem Resolution: The Executive Host handles guest complaints or issues, working to resolve them promptly and to the guests' satisfaction. They act as a liaison between guests and management, addressing concerns and implementing appropriate solutions.
  • Sales and Promotion: The Executive Host may assist with promoting restaurant and club offerings, such as special menus, promotions, or upcoming events. They engage with guests, highlight features, and encourage bookings or participation.
  • Relationship Building: Building strong relationships with regular patrons and establishing a network of contacts in the industry is an important aspect of the Executive Host role. They strive to create a positive and welcoming environment for guests, encouraging repeat business and fostering customer loyalty.
  • Fosters and promotes a cooperative working environment to maximize productivity and increase employee morale.
  • Operational Support: The Executive Host collaborates with other departments, such as the kitchen, bar, and service staff, to ensure efficient operations and smooth service delivery. They communicate guest preferences and requirements to relevant teams, facilitating seamless experiences.
  • Team Management: In some cases, the Executive Host may oversee a team of host/hostesses or support staff. They provide guidance, training, and support to ensure excellent service standards and teamwork.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education

  • Level, Diploma in hospitality, a degree in any discipline is an advantage.
  • WSQ relevant certification.

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years experience in fine dining/ luxury operations.
  • Proven working experience as an Assistant Guest Relations Manager.
  • Restaurant Guest Relations experience is a must.
  • Experience with needs assessment techniques, quality standards and satisfaction evaluation techniques.
  • Familiarity with the industry's latest trends.
  • Experience working with VIP guests and members.

Required Knowledge

  • Proficient in spoken & written English.
  • The ability to speak and write in a 2nd language is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of restaurant and nightlight reservation systems.
  • Proficient in MS Office, Micros, and Seven Rooms reservation system.
  • Highly responsible and reliable with a professional presentation.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

  • Ability to work flexible hours.
  • Able to work weekends & public holidays.
  • Able to work standing up to 8 hours straight
