Our client is an established firm in the Shipping Industry with several decades of ship-owning experience in dry and wet fleets.


Senior Human Resource Manager
(Based in Singapore or Taiwan - Regional role)

ORGANIZATION:


Reporting to the senior management team, your key focus will be to be an HR partner to the business across the region.


Purpose of the Role

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:


As part of the HR and operations team, you will lead both strategic and operational HR management of the company's regional offices and manage efficient and effective crewing of vessels.


  • Lead initiatives in change management and restructuring in business situation.
  • Formulate and drive new HR initiatives and roll out policies and procedures for the organisation.
  • Support senior management in organizational development and lead strategic HR initiatives in a changing environment.
  • Lead people management processes and spearhead HR initiatives in areas like talent acquisition, management, and retention.
  • Work closely with the team to ensure efficient and effective HR management, including complete employee life cycle, C&B ,benefits management and talent management.
  • Lead the crewing functions for our client's vessels, ensuring the recruitment, retention, and further development of highquality crew members and staff through wellestablished crewing agency networks over decades.
  • Refine and further professionalize HR and crewing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
  • Spearhead learning and development programs for growth and success
  • Manage and resolve any HR or crewrelated issues and disputes in a timely and professional manner.
  • Provide guidance and support to other departments on HR and crewingrelated matters.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or seafaring experience in officer's rank.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in HR management with exposure to change management, strategic and operational HR initiatives.
  • Experience in crewing management within the shipping industry will be advantageous but not a must.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Fluency in English and Mandarin to interact with internal and external stakeholders in North Asia, is required.
