The NationalInstitute of Education (NIE) invites applications for a Managerposition in the Learning Sciences & Assessment Department(LSA). This role will provide you with the experience andopportunity to work in a dynamic department with faculty members,staff and students of NIE/NTU.
JobDescription:
We seek a highlyorganised and proactive Manager to support the Head of LSA. Thesuccessful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring thesmooth operation of the department by managing variousadministrative tasks and Administrative Executives to supportfaculty and staff.
KeyResponsibilities:
- DepartmentMeetings & Agenda: Coordinate and prepare agendas fordepartmentmeetings.
- Workplan: Assistin the development and monitoring of departmental WorkPlan.
- Exam Marks Entry(EME): Manage the entry of exam marks for allcourses.
- Part-Time Lecturer &Faculty Contract Renewal: Oversee the renewal process forpart-time lecturers and facultycontracts.
- New Appointment ofFaculty: Support the hiring process and facilitate theonboarding process for new facultymembers.
- Faculty/Research Year-EndReview: Assist in the preparation and coordination ofyear-end reviews for faculty and researchstaff.
- Promotion &Tenure: Support the promotion and tenureprocess.
- MOE Secondment:Handle administrative tasks related to MOE secondments and providesupport for the appraisal of the TeachingFellows.
- Enhanced Academic WorkloadSystem: Collaborate with other Administrative Executivesto manage the academic workloadsystem.
- Student Feedback on Teaching(SFT): Coordinate the collection and analysis of studentfeedback on teaching.
- Excellence inTeaching Commendation Award: Manage the nomination andselection process for teachingawards.
- Liaise with the Department ofEstate Development (DED): Coordinate onboarding andoffboarding processes withDED.
- Finance: Assist in thepreparation of the annual budget and other financialtasks.
- Human Resource (HR):Liaise with HR for faculty recruitment, contract reviews,promotions, and annual appraisals. Maintain training records foradministrative staff. Coordinate Administrative staff hiring whereapplicable.
- General OfficeAdministration: Ensure effective communication within thedepartment, provide logistical support for events, supportadministrative processes and oversee the administrativedeliverables of the juniorofficers.
Requirements:
- AUniversity degree.
- Experience in leading anoffice administrative team is anadvantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Officeapplications (Excel and Word) and communication platforms(Microsoft Teams, Zoom, etc.), in particular Cloud Productivitytools such as Office 365.
- Strong interpersonaland communication skills, both written andoral.
- Ability to work independently andproactively.
- Ability to maintainconfidentiality.
