Marketing & Business Development Executive, Asia

Main duties and responsibilities:
- Be a source of knowledge within M&BD team about the strength of our APAC practices - the individual in this role must be prepared to develop a good level of knowledge about the type of legal advice and services offered by our practice groups across APAC. There is a requirement to spend a significant amount of time learning about our capabilities.
- Responsible for M&BD tactical delivery - deliver and support high-quality, targeted and valuable M&BD initiatives including but not limited to marketing communications materials, client events & hospitality, legal directory entries and award submissions showcasing our service offering.
- Profile raising, communications and CRM - Contribute to the formulation of the APAC offices internal and external communications strategies (including digital) and support implementation. Assist in strengthening the firm’s reputation through the identification of speaking, advertising and media opportunities (in conjunction with our retained PR agency and the central Comms team).
- Winning new work - Assist APAC fee earners and M&BD team in the tendering process, including managing the logistics of the pitch process for any assigned sector pitches, gathering of relevant material and information and writing formal responses.
- Engagement with the M&BD Hub - Work with the M&BD Hub and APAC fee earners to develop the content of written communications including factsheets, webpages and intranet pages, including their production and maintenance ensuring best practice is observed. Responsible for briefing the M&BD Hub (our marketing operations team). Act as the conduit between the fee earners and the M&BD Hub. Perform a quality assurance role for products developed by the M&BD Hub and provides regular feedback to improve M&BD Hub processes.
- Supporting international engagement – Assisting with the execution of international projects, working with colleagues across Asia and the wider international business.
Person specification:
Essential
- This role would suit a proactive candidate with 1-2 years’ experience. You will receive adequate training to help you to excel in the role
- Familiarity with Microsoft Suite, especially PowerPoint, Word, Excel, SharePoint
- Willingness to take the initiative
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Organised approach to work
- Good prioritisation / project management skills
- Ability to work closely and collaboratively with, and build effective relationships and networks across the firm, and support each other.
- Excellent communication skills, and able to influence others to support objectives
- Flexibility and a willingness to work additional hours on occasion as required.
- Ability to learn quickly and follow processes in a timely fashion.
Desirable
- Have experience working in law firms or professional services
- Ability to brief unfinished work over for others to complete
- Well-developed understanding of the tasks that fit under the M&BD department.
- Familiarity with M&BD technology, such as CRM systems or email marketing platforms
- Able to build effective relationships and networks across the firm and the ability to work collaboratively
- Able to influence others to support objectives
