Senior Bid Manager (Ref.No. R1010208)

You will enjoy having these responsibilities:
Leadership of the Bids Function
- Act as a strategic bridge between senior leadership and the sales organization to support qualification and forecasting of bids for planning and resource allocation.
- Lead the mobilization of cross-functional teams to support ongoing bids, collaborating with stakeholders across Sales, Project Delivery, Legal, and Finance to guide and coach teams toward successful bid outcomes.
- Ensure bid strategies are robust, incorporating market insights, pricing rationale, and internal cost assessments to develop executable bid plans and cost targets.
- Collaborate across business segments and geographies to align bid efforts, ensuring coordination with relevant internal and external stakeholders, including partners and suppliers.
- Oversee the implementation and continuous alignment of bid plans throughout the capture phase, ensuring clarity on scope, schedule, and commercial terms.
- Ensure organizational risk assessments are conducted and that all commitments are reviewed and approved by accountable parties.
- Foster a culture of accountability, care, and efficiency within the bid team and across stakeholder groups.
- Support and mentor Bid Managers, including team structuring and resource planning in coordination with relevant departments.
- Promote continuous improvement in bid processes to enhance agility, reliability, and turnaround time.
- Drive smart tailoring of bid approaches to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Ensure governance processes are followed, including bid continuation approvals and escalation of key issues with proposed solutions.
- Degree in Engineering or Business, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in the transportation sector (preferably rail).
- Strong technical foundation with commercial acumen.
- Proven experience in the ASEAN region.
- Deep understanding of customer needs and business drivers.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to reassess and adapt bid strategies.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders and lead diverse teams.
- Skilled in stakeholder management and influence across complex networks.
- Results-oriented, with the ability to drive execution and deliver impact.
- Comfortable navigating complexity and uncertainty.
- Strong risk and opportunity management capabilities.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
