Overview
Senior Vice President / Regional Sales Manager – Global Trade Solutions at HSBC Corporate and Institutional Banking. This role focuses on managing a portfolio of Global Trade Solutions (GTS) clients with regional treasury centres in Singapore, providing solutions and structures to meet trade and working capital needs across the region. The position involves collaboration with Sales Managers across countries to identify opportunities, lead RFPs and client pitches.
Responsibilities- Manage a portfolio of Global Trade Solutions (GTS) clients with regional treasury centres in Singapore as a Regional Sales Manager to provide solutions and structures that meet trade and working capital needs for the region; proactively work with Sales Managers across various countries to identify opportunities, lead RFPs and client pitches
- Provide expert direction and subject matter expertise for complex solutions and deal structures, alongside execution of high-quality service to customers
- Communicate new products, propositions and relevant market information to customers, and co-create trade solutions with customers
- Lead initiatives such as sales enablement and GTS penetration across the region
- Devise client plans and strategies to identify sales opportunities and increase revenue for existing clients; collaborate with internal stakeholders, including relationship managers and product specialists to maximise cross-selling opportunities
- Partner with Relationship Managers on all credit risk matters including credit assessment, commitments and returns
- Work with Implementation teams to ensure an efficient execution plan for seamless and quick implementation
- Participate in events, initiatives, and activities to develop business opportunities
- Protect the bank's reputation and ensure an acceptable risk profile while deepening understanding of the client through credit and customer due diligence reviews; assess risk/reward of transactions when making business decisions
- University degree holder (Finance, Business or related discipline) with strong experience in trade finance in frontline roles
- Good client network and track record of trade finance sales; proven track record of leading trade finance transactions for large global clients
- Regional sales experience would be preferred
- Extensive knowledge of global trade finance solutions and structuring experience with strong understanding of trade finance and working capital management
- Recognised as a Trade Finance specialist with the ability to display in-depth knowledge and understand risk profile of relevant products and act as lead for opportunities with clients and internal stakeholders
- Strong financial and analytical skills with good problem-solving mindset
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to interact and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
