We are assisting a prestigious financial institution in seeking an experienced Head of Treasury. This well-capitalised regional bank has a strong presence in Singapore and across Asia, with a mandate to optimise the balance sheet and deliver best-in-class funding, liquidity and markets execution. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in leading ALM strategy, steering ALCO, and partnering the franchise to enable sustainable growth.

Role & Responsibilities

  • ALM & Liquidity Leadership: Own liquidity, funding and interest-rate risk (IRRBB) strategy; safeguard LCR/NSFR and capital buffers while optimising returns.
  • ALCO Stewardship: Chair/host ALCO; set balance sheet strategy, limit frameworks and stress testing; ensure alignment with risk appetite and business plan.
  • Markets Execution: Oversee money markets, FX and fixed-income activities; manage the investment book and treasury P&L with disciplined risk/return.
  • Treasury Marketing (TMU): Partner Corporate/Private/Transaction Banking on client solutions (FX, rates, hedging, liquidity); price and execute competitively.
  • Control & Governance: Uphold MAS standards, internal policies and limit usage; ensure timely reporting, analytics and market insights to GM/HQ.
  • People & Platform: Build, coach and motivate a high-performing treasury/markets team; uplift processes, systems and data for scalability.

Requirements

  • Min 15+ years of banking treasury/global markets experience with deep ALM, liquidity and IRRBB expertise.
  • Proven leadership of ALCO/ALM agendas and balance sheet optimisation in a regulated environment.
  • Strong command of money markets, FX, rates and fixed income; confident managing treasury P&L and investment portfolios.
  • Excellent stakeholder skills; able to influence senior management and collaborate across risk, finance, product and operations.
  • Degree in Finance/Business/Economics (FRM/CFA/ACT a plus); strong grasp ofMAS regulatory expectations and stress testing.
  • Business Mandarin advantageous to liaise with regional stakeholders.
