Gatic are market leaders in the provision of premium specification access covers, surface water drainage and building drainage systems through their Gatic Access Cover, Gatic Slotdrain and Harmer and Wade Drainage brands The company is a subsidiary of The Alumasc Group plc Currently around 50% of the companies’ sales are made into international markets particularly into major infrastructure projects such as ports and airports. Territory South East Asia and Australasia Job Title Regional Sales Director (South East Asia & Australasia) Reporting To Responsible to: (not specified) Location Home based being already resident in the territory preferably in South East Asia Interface with Other Regional Sales Directors, UK Specification Engineers, Commercial and Technical departments at UK head office. The Individual Experienced and enthusiastic sales professional to maintain existing business and identify and develop new regional opportunities. The ideal candidate will have experience of promoting premium specification products to specifiers within the Civil Engineering and Building Industry and has ideally been involved in developing internationals markets through project specific contact with specifiers/end users. In addition the candidate will have experience of identifying, developing and working with distributors. Main Duties and Responsibilities Promotion of Gatic products to Consulting Engineers, Architects, Utilities and End Users to initiate product specifications. Research infrastructure project opportunities in emerging and established markets and progress as appropriate. Identifying and working with new distributors Maintain regular contact with major specifying organisations. Visiting contractors as necessary, progressing quotations to a conclusion and providing installation advice. Updating the company CRM system and completing electronic reporting procedures in accordance with the companies’ requirements. Providing feedback from the market on potential opportunities for product development. Providing a monthly report on activities with the status of outstanding quotations and sales forecasts for the forthcoming periods. Person Specification Proven track record in promoting premium specification products to the construction industry ideally in international markets. Proven track record in identifying, working with and developing new international distributors. Able to work independently and on their own initiative and to organise and make power point presentations to groups of professional specifiers. Able to recognise, research and progress project opportunities at an early design stage and to develop budgets and forecasts. Able to read and understand engineering drawings and to communicate technical information. Understanding of civil engineering and building routines. Sufficient IT skills to interrogate and update the companies’ electronic database. Good organisation and time management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work to deadlines and understand the need to meet agreed targets. Training All necessary training in relevant aspects of the companies’ business will be provided together with training on appropriate software packages. Remuneration Package A competitive salary will be provided together with the opportunity to earn bonuses for exceeding agreed sales targets for the region.
