Overview
Senior Channel Sales Director (APAC) at Skillable. This role is remote and focuses on go-to-market strategy and driving revenue through channel partners in the APAC region.
Responsibilities- Responsible for net new logo or business growth as well as the ongoing development and maturation of the partner business.
- Guide and advise on strategic product opportunities to ensure competitive growth across Skillable’s product offering.
- Research and analyze market trends and opportunities, competitive environments, and potential business alignments for marketplace expansion.
- Develop a pipeline list of partnership opportunities and product expansion sufficient to meet and exceed annual growth targets.
- Create, document, and regularly maintain partner level business plans.
- Responsible for new business acquisition across the US and on occasion emerging international markets.
- Participate in the development and ideation of strategies to maximize product and brand appeal to target markets.
- Work with senior management to explore development of high value vertical markets.
- Partner with leadership and cross-functional teams on strategic goals and emerging trends.
- Analyze and recommend opportunities using detailed financial analysis, financial modeling and business planning.
- Monitor the competitive market landscape, analyst reports, and other data to delineate Skillable’s position in the region.
- Provide regular reporting and business planning updates to Skillable’s GTM management team.
- Serve as a subject matter expert across Skillable product offerings and work cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders.
- Communicate complex material succinctly to multiple audiences and lead large cross-functional project teams with partners from marketing, product, and finance.
- Build and develop key relationships across the enterprise to drive momentum for initiatives.
- Influence decisions with data across all levels of the organization and engage in development opportunities to strengthen skills.
- Collaborate across divisions to align priorities and avoid duplicative efforts.
- Represent Skillable at industry events and conferences as required.
- Promote the company values through positive interactions with partners and customers.
- Bachelor’s degree in related field (business administration, sales, etc.) or relevant professional experience.
- 10+ years' experience in a senior channel sales or equivalent business development role.
- Success in sourcing, closing and managing strategic relationships contributing to annual bookings.
- Experience with contract negotiations with large enterprise software, training and testing organizations.
- Experience building OEM channel relationships, generating six to seven figures per year in revenue.
- Track record of structuring large, complex software OEM deals and building strategic partnerships to accelerate new market development.
- Proven ability to sell enterprise solutions in a 100% remote environment with strong digital selling skills and effective written/visual communication.
- Experience collaborating with product owners to design solutions meeting partner needs.
- Growth mindset and lifelong learning; strong cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Coachability and a winning mentality with problem-solving and data-driven decision making.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to present to various audiences and levels.
- Ability to mentor and train team members; detail-oriented and organized.
The base salary range for this position is $150,000 - $190,000 USD annually. This range does not include commissions or quarterly upsides. Compensation is determined based on candidate level, skills, qualifications, experience, and constraints of the position and plans.
Skillable is distributed-first with remote work across the U.S. Geography does not influence compensation ranges. Pay range and benefits are subject to change; 90-day update window for current offerings.
