Job Purpose

Builing a powerful digital wealth management platform for accredited investors and is looking for a Regional Sales Head to help grow its users in SEA. He/She is responsible for onboarding affluent and HNWI clients onto the wealth tech platform and providing financial advice and solutions that meet their investment needs, across all the sophisticated products on the platform.

Key Responsibilities

(1) Client Acquisition & Activation

  • Grow the firm’s business by acquiring new clients through app downloads, and sign-ups, and driving account activity through transactions.
  • Hunt, develop, and manage new and existing client relationships including ongoing regular client contact and communications.

(2) Relationship & Stakeholder Management

  • Advise clients proactively based on their investment objectives by matching sophisticated product offerings to their individual needs.
  • Assist clients through a digital onboarding and KYC process to get them set up as users.
  • Showcase the firm’s wealth tech platform capabilities to clients in Southeast Asia.
  • Drive the adoption efforts of the digital wealth platform by educating, teaching, advising, and encouraging clients to use the platform.
  • Monitor user activity and work with internal teams (i.e., CIO team, client servicing team) to provide customized and comprehensive wealth management advice in line with the client’s investment objectives.

(3) Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure all transactions are within legal boundaries by staying updated with the regulations affecting banking and customer interactions.
  • Ensure that the firm’s values, reputation, and standing are always well protected when representing the firm in external forums.
  • Ensure that all activities are undertaken within the regulatory framework. Further, ensure that the company's policies and procedures are adhered to when performing their task.

Qualifications:

  • Wealth Management Business Acumen: Minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in retail/consumer banking (affluent client segment).
  • A track record of having a strong network of trusted clients and successful AUM track record.
  • A commission-based compensation structure over and above the fixed salary.

Domain Skills:

  • Strong understanding of financial services industry / wealth management industry.
  • Experience in understanding the financial needs of the mass affluent / HNW clients (1 MM to 5 MM of investible assets).
  • Demonstrate strong interest in financial, global, and capital markets.
  • Demonstrate strong interest in technology platforms specifically around wealth tech.
  • Deep understanding of investment needs, frustrations and preferences of the mass affluent / high net worth client segments.

Soft Skills:

  • Demonstrate excellent team management skills to keep the team motivated and productive.
  • Existing strong client connections in SEA.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build and foster a strong network of relationships.
  • Extremely self-motivated and determined to work in a fast-paced, fast-growing, and entrepreneurial company.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced sales environment with a hunter mindset to crush sales targets.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and handle multiple responsibilities competently, with a high degree of accuracy in a high-pressure environment.
