Site Engineer I

Overview

Your role is to work closely with the implementation and Facilities Engineering team to ensure that all quality assurance/quality control documents for the engineering fit out (EFO) project are handed over smoothly. This includes drawings, certificates, calibration tests, inspection reports, non-compliance reports, site instructions and observations, asset lists delivered, and other QA/QC documents. The role is located at Loyang data center and reports directly to the Senior Data Center Manager with a communication line to the site Manager, Facilities Engineering.

• Establish quality control checklists and procedures for each project to ensure all work is performed in accordance with facility standards.
• Maintain a quality program that meets the DLR’s DC Operations stringent quality requirements.
• Review, witness testing and commissioning of all projects with the implementation, operations team and consultant before handing over to the site teams.
• Ensure that all types of EFO work are carried out according to the approved method statement.
• Coordinate, review, and approve the MOP and RA of all works related to the Implementation & Operations team to ensure that all requirements are met, tasks are completed on time and to the required standards.
• Plan, coordinate, conduct, and control inspections/works, liaising with the implementation manager.
• Establish a regular meeting schedule with individual site DC operations and the implementation team to track all project deliverables.
• Conduct physical verification of installed components (Rack ID, Breaker ID, Cee form ID, Power Whips ID, etc.) with the vendor, implementation team, and DC operations team.
• Work closely with the implementation team to enable DCIM points for each project and ensure that all integrations and DCIM alerts are received at BMS/Email.
• Collaborate with the site team for the cyclical replacement of major electrical/mechanical systems or equipment.
• Prepare tender documents with the consultant, conduct tender interviews and site show rounds.
• Follow up with vendors for major parts replacement and coordinate with the site engineering team for MOS, RA, and work schedules.
• Prepare and submit weekly reports to the Manager Facilities Engineering and DCM.
• and other duties as required.

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or related field
• At least 3–5 years of data center building facility operations, data center project, or fit-out experience
• Data center consultant or project background is a plus
• Knowledge of ACMV and other M&E related systems
• Knowledge of statutory requirements (BCA/SCDF/Green Mark)
