About Team The privacy and security team aims to build a configurable, easy-to-use platform to manage data for ByteDance internal systems, meeting global privacy and compliance requirements. The PnS SRE team plans, builds, and operates distributed ByteDance compliance data centers worldwide, establishes monitoring and alarm mechanisms, conducts fault drills, identifies risks, and promotes architecture upgrades. Responsibilities Focus on compliance data center lifecycle management, cost reduction, efficiency improvement, and stability. Ensure reliability and stability of ByteDance's compliance data centers and manage SLAs for related core PnS products. Participate in design, development, and improvement of stability-related products, including efficiency and other stability aspects. Review current architecture, identify application architecture risks, and implement or promote solutions to mitigate risks. Build and improve monitoring and alarm mechanisms, contingency plans, organize and participate in drills, post-incident reviews, and other stability work. Advocate for architecture and cutting-edge technology, continuously improving operations and maintenance procedures and service quality; apply new technologies to support teams and businesses. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent with 3+ years of relevant experience. Solid computer software fundamentals; understanding of Linux OS, storage, network I/O, and related principles. Experience with one or more programming languages: Python, Go, or C++. Good communication and collaboration skills. Proven experience in analyzing and troubleshooting distributed systems. Preferred Qualifications Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Strong product sense and system design ability. Structured thinking, problem-solving skills, and a strong sense of ownership. Experience in large-scale distributed systems in SAAS/PAAS/IAAS is preferred.
