Role Overview

The Business Development Manager, APAC will drive customer acquisition and distributor relationships in the region. Reporting to the CEO, responsibilities include:

  • Leading sales initiatives in APAC by establishing new distributor or OEM relationships
  • Managing existing distributor and direct customer relationships
  • Developing a strategic growth plan for the APAC region
  • Conducting market and competitive analyses to identify trends and opportunities, including regulatory developments, especially in medical technology
  • Partnering with HQ in Europe on revenue and customer growth targets
  • Understanding industry competitors
  • Overseeing financial performance, profitability, and cost control
  • Managing inventory and production planning
  • Reporting quarterly to the CEO and Global Sales Head on market risks, opportunities, and forecasts
  • As the business scales, hiring and coaching a team in Singapore/APAC
Candidate Profile
  • Bachelor's Degree in mechanical, industrial, or related technical discipline
  • Minimum five years in B2B product or solution sales, preferably with contacts in medical technology
  • Strong distributor and OEM relationships in APAC
  • Experience in scaling new markets and project management skills
  • Proven track record of achieving double-digit growth in components business and familiarity with CRM tools
  • Willingness to travel frequently within Asia and Europe (~50% in the first year)
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Strategic thinker with problem-solving abilities
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, capable of working autonomously in APAC
