Position Summary
We are looking for a regional Sales Director who can make a difference and provide customers
with better access to innovative, comprehensive cancer care technologies and solutions. S/He
should advance the Varian strategic interests in the zone to build and achieve sustainable growth
in sales with key stakeholders, strengthen the collaboration with channel partners, and establish a
network of market intelligence to provide voice-of-customers and voice-of-market.


This position will report to the Senior Managing Director Zone Southeast Asia and Korea (SEA/K).

Responsibilities:
• Be the head sales for zone SEA/K at APJI and global level and lead all relevant team
management;
• Be responsible for the sales performance (total orders & revenue, profitability, market
shares, NPS, clinical availability, and other sales-related KPIs) of the assigned portfolio;
• Promote solution, values, and clinical selling among the sales community;
• Manage zonal equipment price & configuration rationalization and harmonization, and
regional funnel management with country managers;
• Provides strategic leadership and direction for market development, business
development of pre-/post-sales activities, and provides support to distributors/customers;
• Oversees the development and execution of sales strategy and resource planning (team,
process, and budget);
• Partner with cross-functional teams for sales readiness and execution for New Product
Introduction, Updates, End of Sales process, and other product lifecycle strategies;
• Analyzes operational processes, escalation procedures and performs sales force training
needs assessments for identifying opportunities for improvements and value-add services
to the customers;
• Manages customer relationships, including participating in the resolution of customer
concerns and defining/developing customer engagement strategies.


Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree or above in Medical Science, Management Studies, or related fields, MBA
preferred;
• At least 10 years of experience in strategy, sales management, distributor and channel
management, market development, and related management experience with a track record
of successful performance in the relevant Healthcare Business;
• At least 5 years of experience in leading a team in products and solutions sales or managing
complex and strategic sales cycles at C-level of customers
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills with employees, customers, distributors, and
stakeholders;
• Ability to solve complex, cross-functional problems;
• Excellent attitude, strong business competency, and good communication skills with records
of excellent customer acceptance
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English;
• Extensive travel within the SEA/K region.
